Steve and I met 8 years ago briefly at a party...yes I said 8 years! We then met again in 2004 at our friend Dan's house who happens to be the best man in our wedding. We had fun playing card games and just getting to know each other. After a fun night at Dan's he wanted to get my phone number and instant messenger screen name, but I had already left and we were both planning on going back to school soon. I headed back up to college in Boston and he was back in South Jersey at school.
One day I was on my computer in my dorm and Steve "IM'ed" me. I had no idea who it was at first, but Steve described who he was and then it all clicked! He told me he got my screen name from our friend Matt who is one of the groomman in our wedding. I was really happy when he reached out to me... it made me think he was really interested in getting to know me more! From then on, we kept in touch every day!
Later that year, we just so happened to have the same Spring Break week off and we were both coming home for break. We decided to go on our first date! It was great getting to see each other since we have talked over the internet and phone for months. We went out almost every day while we were home on Spring Break.
We became an official couple around the month of June 2004! :)
Throughout the years our love for each other has continued to grow! He is my best friend and together we have been through so much. We couldn't even begin to imagine what life would be like without one another! |
